BodyCru is about total mind, body and spirit transformation. We incorporate all aspects of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and spirituality; to bring each client to optimal health. Our goal is to help our clients restore their bodies, redefine themselves, and in doing so, become an inspiration to others.

That all sounds good doesn’t it, but you all know that this journey toward total transformation of your mind, body and spirit will not be easy.  Being the flawed human beings that we are, we tend to focus on whatever area it is that we currently feel we have the most control to change.  For some that is developing a more positive mindset, while for others it may be getting more in tune with their spiritual selves.  We must however give each area some focus in order to bring our minds, bodies and spirits into true alignment.  Each day do something to make your life and the lives of others better.  Be the your own light and the light that illuminates the way for others.

RESET YOUR MIND

There is immense power in positive thinking.  If you find yourself dwelling on all of the negative occurrences in your life, fight to think positively.  According to the Mayo Clinic, there is a wide range of health benefits linked to thinking positively. Here are some of them:

  3. Longer life expectancy
  4. Lower stress levels
  5. Increased resistance to the common cold
  6. Better stress management and coping skills
  7. Lower risk of heart disease and related death
  8. Increased physical well-being

Accept that you are here to grow and evolve. Life doesn’t always go smoothly. Not everything is meant to be a joyride or exercise in pleasure. Life’s lessons can be difficult, but are more so if you approach them with avoidance and apprehension. If you see them as opportunities to become stronger, wiser and more resilient, you are thinking positively and productively.

RESTORE YOUR BODY

The restoration of your physical body can only be achieved through detoxification, clean eating and exercise.

Practiced for centuries by cultures around the world — including ayurvedic and Chinese medicine systems — detoxification is about resting, cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. By removing and eliminating toxins, then feeding your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health.  Basically, detoxification means cleaning the blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities aren’t properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.

A detox program can help the body’s natural cleansing process by:

1. Resting the organs through fasting;
2. Stimulating the liver to drive toxins from the body;
3. Promoting elimination through the intestines, kidneys and skin;
4. Improving circulation of the blood; and
5. Refueling the body with healthy nutrients.

Next up is clean eating, yes CLEAN!  Eating clean is a good way to refresh your eating habits: it’s about eating more of the best and healthiest options in each of the food groups—and eating less of the not-so-healthy ones. That means embracing foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains, plus healthy proteins and fats. It also means cutting back on refined grains, added sugars, salt and unhealthy fats.  Clean eating is a deceptively simple concept. Rather than revolving around the idea of ingesting more or less of specific things (for instance, fewer calories or more protein), the idea is more about being mindful of the food’s pathway between its origin and your plate. At its simplest, clean eating is about eating whole foods, or “real” foods — those that are un- or minimally processed, refined, and handled, making them as close to their natural form as possible.

And we saved the best for last, Exercise, all of it, cardio, strength training, yoga, pilates, why leave any of them out, try them all.  We get bored all of us and the key to sticking to an exercise regimen is to diversify.  Choose a program that incorporates a little of everything, thereby creating a well sculpted body.

No matter what your size or shape, being active:

  2. Helps you fall asleep and sleep well
  3. Gives you more energy
  4. Helps you think better and faster
  5. Helps you handle stress
  6. Makes you healthier

By now you have noticed that all of these areas work together to achieve similar anatomic, physiologic and spiritual goals.  Once you begin to realize some of these achievements in the physical body, your thoughts and your life, you will know the true essence of redefinition.  You will become the person you have always wanted to be, not just some facets, but all.  A body in synchrony promotes transformation and ultimately evolution.  You become the best version of you, and then the most miraculous thing happens; you inspire others to be their best.  If each of you can help one person be stronger, fitter, healthier, happier, and more content with their overall lives, wouldn’t you?  Sure you would and that is why BodyCru was created; Transformation By Design.
